Anna Marie Locke
Anna Marie Locke, 85, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet, surrounded by her family. She was born Nov. 7, 1926, in Cloquet to Vincent and Anna (Dufault) Lemieux and was united in marriage to Frederick "Fred" L. Locke on Aug. 3, 1946, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cloquet. Anna worked in the state of Washington for the government during World War II. She was the secretary for Sacred Heart Catholic Church and also an accountant for the Fond du Lac Reservation, and retired as director of food distribution for Fond du Lac. She was a lifelong member of Queen of Peace Parish, and a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Catholic Foresters, the Hebert-Kennedy VFW Auxiliary, and was a volunteer for Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton, Minn.

Arnold Francis Bassett
Arnold F. Bassett, 97, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton, Minn. He was born Aug. 16, 1914, in Cloquet to Benjamin and Adeline (LaVoie) Bassett and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1934. Arnold was united in marriage to Carolyn Mason on Sept. 26, 1947. When he was younger, he worked as an ambulance driver for the Fond du Lac Hospital and then worked as a salesman and general manager for Stewart Furniture and Stowell's Furniture in Cloquet and for Anderson Furniture in Duluth. Arnold was the oldest enrolled band member of the Fond du Lac Reservation.
