Dennis Jacob Randelin, 69, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet. He was born Oct. 19, 1943, in Duluth, Minn., to Kenneth and Muriel (Gault) Randelin. He moved to Cloquet in 1946 and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1961.

Roger Ernest Abrahamson, 80, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Sunnyside Health Care Center in Cloquet. He was born Feb. 20, 1933, in Cloquet to Edwin and Hilda (Fredrickson) Abrahamson and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1952. Roger served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army. He worked at Potlatch Corporation, the Duluth News Tribune and as a mental health director for the Onamia Indian Reservation.

Brian "BP" Paarni, 60, passed away in his home Wednesday, March 12, 2013. He was a lifelong resident of Cloquet, Minn., and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1970. Brian worked for Potlatch/Sappi Fine Paper for 30-plus years and had worked in the pulp mill fiber line most recently. He was an active member of the USW Local Union #1163 and was member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Brian served in the U.S. Air Force as an air traffic controller from 1978-82.

Kim Johnson
Kim M. (Bassett) Johnson, 51, of Duluth, Minn., after a courageous battle with cancer, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the Solvay Hospice House with her family beside her. She was born April 4, 1961, in Cloquet, Minn., to Jack and Bergie Bassett. Kim was a 1979 Cloquet High School graduate and was currently enrolled in Lake Superior College pursuing a degree in business administration. She had previously worked for Fond du Lac Health Services and Education Division and for the past 18 years for Wells Fargo Bank. Kim was an avid reader, active outdoors woman and enjoyed genealogy. She happily married Jeff Johnson on June 9, 2012. Kim's life centered on her children, grandchildren and extended family.

Harold Francis Bassett
Harold "Harry" Bassett, 63, of Elk River, Minn., passed into eternal life, with our Lord and Savior on Feb. 22, 2013, at home with his loving family at his side. Harry had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March of 2011, and fought a valiant battle to the very end. Harry was born on June 20, 1949, to Arnold and Carolyn Bassett in Cloquet, Minn., and was the oldest of four children. He graduated from Cloquet High School, and very proudly with the "Class of 1967."

James Robert Wiggins
James Robert Wiggins, 55, of Superior, Wis., passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013. He was born Nov. 4, 1957, in Duluth, Minn., to John W. and Mary P. (Pflum) Wiggins and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1976. Jim had been a car salesman for Krenzen's and North Country Auto Exchange and was currently working in the Wal-Mart Deli in Cloquet, Minn. He was an avid collector of "treasures" from old memorabilia to coins and other unique odds and ends. Jim loved reading unusual books about a wide variety of things. Every Friday you could find him out at garage sales. He was forever adding to his collections. Jim was a very engaging man and everyone enjoyed talking to him. He was fun spirited, had a million-watt smile, and a boisterous laugh.
