Investigation continues into electrocution of Hill City man
A Hill City man died on the way to Community Memorial Hospital last Thursday after being electrocuted on a job site near Wright. Richard Roy Washburn, 30, was employed with Ulland Brothers at the time of the accident.

Mardel Lucille Milberger
Mardel Lucille "Gramma Del" Milberger, 75, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, in Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton, Minn., with her family by her side. She was born Dec. 9, 1936, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Emery and Esther Wurtz. She later moved to Cloquet. Mardel married Gordon Milberger. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 262. She was a hard-working woman, having several jobs throughout her life including the Great Lakes Fishery, the Cloquet Country Club before retiring from the American Legion as bar manager. Mardel loved to volunteer her time, being a reader at Washington, Fond du Lac and Churchill schools. She enjoyed working on fundraisers and other events, with her favorite of all being the annual Halloween Party for Pinewood Learning Center. Mardel loved to bake and was known for her cakes, with a family favorite being her grasshopper pie. Mardel had a great passion for people and treated all with great respect. Her greatest joy of all was her family and friends.
