There will be public tours of Community Memorial Hospital’s new, expanded facility on Thursday, Nov. 15 from 3:30-5:30 pm. The $27 million project is 90 percent complete and has increased the hospital’s campus size by more than 50 percent.

For the love of the draw: Holyoke couple fall in love with quick draw shooting
Debbie and Marvin Stadin of Holyoke are part of a burgeoning niche in the gun owning community that calls itself the Cowboy Fast Draw Association. It’s exactly what it sounds like, only instead of drawing on another man, the shooter draws on a 2-foot diameter circular target. Debbie won state championships in South Dakota and Minnesota this summer and came in fifth in Worlds in Nevada.

The Thunder fell 31-24 to Rochester Community College in the MCAC state semifinal contest last Saturday at Public Schools Stadium in Duluth, but Thunder Coach Keith Turner was very proud of his young team.
