The Cloquet entry into the Superior International Junior Hockey League finals won their home game Wednesday night to give them a 2-1 lead in the series against the Fort Frances (Ontario) Lakers. If the Wilderness win Friday's game in Fort Frances, the Saturday night game in Cloquet could be for the title.

Edwin F. Erickson, 84, of Bonita Springs, Fla., formerly of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Monday, April 8, 2013, at home in Duluth, Minn., surrounded by family. He was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Cloquet to Edwin and Ilma (Rautio) Erickson. Ed graduated from Cloquet Senior High School in 1946, served in the United States Marine Corps, graduated from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, in 1951 and was employed by Potlatch Corporation (formerly known as The Northwest Paper Company) for 38 years, retiring in 1991.
