CARLTON – Rachel Defoe testified Friday in Carlton County Court that she didn’t know anyone was going to be hurt, she didn’t hear the gunshots and her boyfriend didn’t immediately tell her that he cold-bloodedly shot a Cromwell couple to death in their home after robbing them, but she admitted she was involved.

Federal jury convicts last of 26-member drug ring trafficking in Twin Ports’s area
Lalonde Colton and 25 co-conspirators were indicted on September 21, 2011, for distributing oxycodone, oxymorphone, hydromorphone, and heroin in the Twin Ports’ area. Seventeen of Colton’s co-defendants already have been sentenced for their roles in this drug trafficking operation, while eight have pleaded guilty and are pending sentencing.
