John graduated from Cloquet High School in 1952. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Mississippi, Florida and Alaska. John was employed at Chief Theater in Cloquet, First National Bank in Cloquet, the Art Institute and Hornblower and Weeks in Chicago. He returned to Duluth, Minn., where he was employed by the Marine Museum and The Depot. John was a member of the Swedish Cultural Society, Carlton County Historical Society, and was a board member of the Food Shelf. He lived in Moose Lake after retirement.
