  • The Carlton Volleyball team accepts a check from the Carlton Area Lions Club. The volleyball team assisted the Lions Club during their annual "burger burn" at the Carlton County Fair.
  • Jackie Hebert of the Salvation Army in Cloquet accepts a donation of $1300 from Don and LeaAnn Walsh of Queen of Peace Parish. The Parish also donated 377 pounds of food.
  • Sandy Olean (center) of the Woodcity riders Snowmobile Club presents Cheryl Kramer-Milder, artistic director and Joel Soukkala, general manager of the County Seat Theater Company with a check in the amount of $250 to be used toward the enhancement of the youth theater programs.
