Hazel Marie (Brough) Kelley

Hazel Marie (Brough) Kelley, 94, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton, Minn. She was united in marriage to Merlin Kelley on April 21, 1934. Hazel was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She had a great sense of humor, loved to tell jokes (the same ones over and over) and had an infectious laugh. Hazel was a very sweet and loving person and will be missed greatly.

Hazel Marie (Brough) Kelley, 94, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton, Minn. She was united in marriage to Merlin Kelley on April 21, 1934. Hazel was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She had a great sense of humor, loved to tell jokes (the same ones over and over) and had an infectious laugh. Hazel was a very sweet and loving person and will be missed greatly.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin; children, Hazel (Donald Ganter), Carol (Roger Olson), Mary (Kenneth Godbout), Richard (Judy Kelley) and George; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Kenneth Godbout; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. Hazel also leaves behind her extended family at Evergreen Knoll, of whom she was very fond.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. The visitation will resume Monday, Jan. 7, from noon until the 1 p.m. memorial service, also at Nelson Funeral Care. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship room.
