Lois Audrey Anderson

Lois Audrey Anderson, 93, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at Sunnyside Health Care Center in Cloquet. She was born Sept. 11, 1919, in Cloquet to Carl and Mary (Delarosby) Johnson and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1938. Lois worked for Northwest Paper Company and also as a clerk for the Ben Franklin store and the S&L store. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, National Catholic Society of Foresters, Spring Lake Birthday Club, and the Legion of Mary. Lois was also a volunteer for the Carlton Nursing Home and Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Anderson; one brother, Eugene Johnson; and one sister, Carol Fistler.

She is survived by nieces, Betty Jean (Art) Amys, Mary Ellen (Leon) Forstrom, Sharon Sleeman, Kathy Johnson and Nancy (Jim) Sprecker; nephews, Gerald Johnson and Michael Johnson; and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet. Interment service will be at Old Calvary Cemetery followed by a luncheon in the church social hall.

Memorials are preferred to Queen of Peace Church, and the family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Sunnyside Health Care for the special care given to Lois.
