Gerald Nelson

Gerald Nelson, 66, of Carlton, Minn., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at his home.

Visitation: Thursday, Sept., 27, from 5-7 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet, and Friday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Cloquet.

I only knew Jerry for one weekend, but he will always have an impact on my life. I enjoyed my time with him and loved his sense of humor. He really loved his family and would often tell me about them. He got quite a kick out of it when I told him he was my first client. The last night I was there, he was so excited to see me, he sang me a little song. He was a truly great man, and I will miss him. My condolences go out to his wonderful family.
