Diane Marie House

Diane Marie House, 71, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at her home. She was born May 22, 1941, in Beaver Township, Minn., to Arne and Artura (Jackson) Liikala. Diane loved making crafts, bowling, fishing and especially traveling and following her grandson's horse racing careers. She was also a member of the Nicholson-Sellgren VFW Auxiliary in Carlton, Minn.

Diane Marie House, 71, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at her home. She was born May 22, 1941, in Beaver Township, Minn., to Arne and Artura (Jackson) Liikala. Diane loved making crafts, bowling, fishing and especially traveling and following her grandson's horse racing careers. She was also a member of the Nicholson-Sellgren VFW Auxiliary in Carlton, Minn.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth House; and one sister, Shelly Wheeler. She is survived by her significant other of 37 years, Allen Lindgren of Cloquet; three sons, Kevin (Renae) House of Wrenshall, Minn., and Bradley (Kathleen) House and Brian (Donna) House, both of Cloquet; three daughters, Denise (Mike) Lambeth, Lorie (Tim) Olesiak and Annette (Dale Gohl) Palacios, all of Cloquet; two brothers, Ronald (Angie) Liikala of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Michael (Joyce) Liikala of Esko, Minn.; two sisters, Mary Ellen (Larry) House of Cloquet and Judy (Craig) Sunnarborg of Esko; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Nelson Funeral Care, 1004 Cloquet Ave., Cloquet. The visitation will resume Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral service at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Carlton, followed by a luncheon in the church social hall.
