Lorraine Marie Brattlof

Lorraine Marie (Lawrence) Brattlof, 92, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Lighthouse of Cloquet. She was born Oct. 28, 1919, in Thompson, Minn., to Frank and Mary (Gagne) Lawrence. She attended Carlton Public Schools. Lorraine was united in marriage to Kenneth Brattlof on July 18, 1942. She enjoyed spending time with her family, needlework, collecting bird figurines and cooking. Lorraine was always there to help others.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; parents; brothers, Zi, Ed, Clarence, Maynard, Harry and Bernard Lawrence; and sisters, Irene St. George and Doris Lyons.

She is survived by her daughters, Laurie Stein of Eden Prairie, Minn., and Carol (Larry) Crandall of Saginaw, Minn.; sister, Beatrice Poldoski of Proctor, Minn.; grandchildren, Nathan Stein, Dana (Mike) Johnson, Emily Gajewski and Adam Carlson; great-grandchildren, Keiton and Kylie Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Lighthouse of Cloquet for their loving care given to Lorraine "Rainy."

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Nelson Funeral Care, 1004 Cloquet Ave., Cloquet. Interment service will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Cloquet. Refreshments will follow in the fellowship room.
