Muriel Adeline Johnson
Muriel Adeline Johnson of Carlton, Minn., passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton. She was born April 18, 1920, in Cloquet, Minn., to Frank and Hannah (Peterson) Milberger. Muriel was united in marriage to Kenneth E. Johnson on Aug. 20, 1941, in Cloquet. Muriel and Kenny lived most of their life in Esko, Minn., but returned to Cloquet. Muriel worked at Wood Conversion in Cloquet and Garon Knitting Mills in Duluth, Minn. She was a lifelong member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Cloquet.

Muriel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; brothers, Harry "Vernie" and wife Gladys Milberger, Gordon Milberger, William "Shorty" and wife Lorraine Milberger; daughter-in-law, Linda Johnson; and brothers-in-law, Robert Johnson and Lloyd and wife Virginia Johnson.
She is survived by sons, David (Bobbie Burns) Johnson of Cloquet and Duane (Marilyn) Johnson of Barnum, Minn.; grandchildren, Dana (Kevin) Erkkila of Cloquet, and David (Jen) Johnson and Jodi Johnson, both of Duluth; great-grandchildren, Heather and Ryan Erkkila, Dillon Johnson and Halle; Muriel's little sister and best friend, Mary Warner of Cloquet; sister-in-laws, Mardel Milberger of Carlton and Marie (John) Norman or Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 12:30 p.m. until the 1:30 p.m. memorial service at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Cloquet, followed by a luncheon in the fellowship hall. Inurnment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minn.
