Patricia 'Pat' Sunnarborg

Patricia "Pat" A. Sunnarborg, 72, entered into rest surrounded by family on Saturday, July 21, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. She was born April 1, 1940, to Sig and Lena Carlson. Pat grew up in Cloquet, Minn., and was a 1958 graduate of Cloquet High School. She married Jerry Sunnarborg on May 7, 1960.

Patricia "Pat" A. Sunnarborg, 72, entered into rest surrounded by family on Saturday, July 21, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. She was born April 1, 1940, to Sig and Lena Carlson. Pat grew up in Cloquet, Minn., and was a 1958 graduate of Cloquet High School. She married Jerry Sunnarborg on May 7, 1960.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sig and Lena Carlson; infant daughter, Lori Ann; and a brother, Gordon Carlson.

Pat's generosity, warmth and laughter will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jerry; daughters, Shelley (Jeff) Mrsola of Carlton, Minn., and Lisa (Kenn) Lambert of Stacy, Minn.; granddaughter, Ashley Lambert of Stacy; grandson, John (Colleen) Forrest of Esko, Minn.; three lovely great-grandchildren, Rilea, Gavin and Haylie; brother, Tom (Gail) Carlson of Embarrass, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 25, from 4:30 p.m. until the 5:30 p.m. memorial service in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet. A luncheon will follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
