Harvey Robert Johnson

Harvey Robert Johnson, 87, of St. Cloud, Minn., died Sunday, June 10, 2012, at St. Benedict's Senior Community in St. Cloud. He was born Feb. 27, 1925, in Superior, Wis., to Harry and Esther (Benson) Johnson. Harvey has lived in Superior, Wis.; Cromwell, Duluth, Esko and Sebeka, Minn.; and most recently St. Cloud. He had served in the United States Army until 1946. Harvey had a great passion for working with wood.

Harvey Robert Johnson, 87, of St. Cloud, Minn., died Sunday, June 10, 2012, at St. Benedict's Senior Community in St. Cloud. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Johnson and Esther Johnson Brandt; stepfather, Gustaf Brandt; brothers, Harry Johnson, William Brandt and Donald Brandt; sisters, Dorothy Hanson, Bernice Orlowski and Betty Anderson; and grandson Christopher Oja.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Eleanor of St. Cloud; children, Elaine (Dennis) Carlson of Sebeka, Ronald Johnson (Leona) of Cloquet, Minn., Debra (David) Brinkman of St. Cloud, Thomas Johnson (Michele) of Hermantown, Minn., and Cynthia (Michael) Oja of Watertown, S.D.; sisters, Edna Samuelson and Doris Radon; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 13, from noon until the 12:30 p.m. memorial service at Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud. The Rev. Randy Johnson will officiate and burial will take place at Minnesota State Veteran Cemetery in Little Falls, Minn.
