Wallace Carl Beck
Wallace Carl Beck, 84, of Cloquet, Minn., died Monday, June 11, 2012, in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake, Minn. The son of Alfred and Frances Beck, Wallace was born on March 11,1928, in Spruce Grove Township, Becker County, Minn. On March 21, 1952, he married Dorothy Erickson in Menahga, Minn., and together they moved to Cloquet in 1953. Wally and Dorothy were an inseparable pair, working together in their beautiful vegetable and flower gardens, going for long walks, or just being together at home. They were married for 51 years.

Wally was employed at Potlatch for over 30 years, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed deer hunting and sharing his hunting stories. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and recently had the pleasure of meeting his first great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, and is survived by daughters, Deborah (James) Dahlstrom of Buffalo, Minn., and Connie (Randy) Rodd of Wrenshall, Minn.; four grandchildren, Callie (Hank) DeVriendt, Stacy (Matt Christianson) Rodd, Matthew Dahlstrom and Joshua Dahlstrom; and one great-grandson, Colten DeVriendt.
A private family service was held in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cloquet.
