Dale Frederick Wilkins

Dale F. Wilkins, 55 of Wrenshall, Minn., passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012, in Wrenshall. He was born July 1, 1956, in Virginia, Minn., to Harold and Myrtle (Thompson) Wilkins. Dale worked as an electrical lineman for contractors and also for United Power Association in Grand Rapids, Minn. He loved flying airplanes and taking fly-in fishing trips to Canada with his father, nephews and family members. Dale recently worked as a private contractor in the southern states near Louisiana after the hurricanes. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing at Mont du Lac, and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson choppers. Dale financially supported mission work for his church in Louisiana.

Dale is survived by his parents, Harold and Myrtle Wilkins; four sisters, Donna (Bill) Kelley, Karen (William) Schneider, Darlene (Ron) Eng and Alice (Cliff) Kloepfer; numerous nieces and nephews; many friends; and his constant companion, (his dog) "Girl."

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 29, from 5-7 p.m. at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Carlton, Minn. The visitation will resume Wednesday, May 30, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service, also at Bethesda Lutheran Church. Interment service will be at Silver Brook Cemetery in Wrenshall, followed by a luncheon in the church social hall.
