Jay Kendall Pederson
Jay K. Pederson, 49, a lifelong resident of Cloquet, Minn., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Essentia Health Care in Duluth, Minn. He was born Oct. 30, 1962, in Cloquet to Ramon and Darlyne (Johnson) Pederson and graduated from Cloquet High School. Jay had worked for Cloquet Sanitary Service and currently was the custodian at the sports center for the Cloquet Tribal Center. He served on the Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department for a number of years and enjoyed hunting and going to the shack. Jay was a very caring man with a big heart.

Jay was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jeff.
He is survived by his son, David of Cloquet; three brothers, Kim, Greg and Tim Pederson, all of Cloquet; one sister, Kelly (Gary Maki) Johnson of Cloquet; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Jay's life will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Nelson Funeral Care, 1004 Cloquet Ave., Cloquet.
