Sara Duncan of Carlton, Minn., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at her home with family.
Sara Duncan of Carlton, Minn., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at her home with family.
Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Duncan; parents, Paul and Josephine MacMichael; and her sister, Betty Ness (Dick). She was also preceded in death by her first husband, John Tomlinson.
Sara is survived by three children, Rusty Duncan (Marlene), Eric Duncan (Mary Jo) and Julie Haberle (Paul); grandsons, Chip (Karen) and Andy; two great-grandchildren, Russell and Aurora; sister, Lilah Graumann (Bob); and special nieces, Karen Grubin (Todd) and Laurie Florkiewicz (Budd) and their families.
Sara enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, walking her dog "Cider" and spending time with her family. She had many wonderful friends around the area and was touched by their loving kindness when she was ill.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at Nelson Funeral Care, 1004 Cloquet Ave., Cloquet. All are welcomed to join the family afterward at Sara's house on Chub Lake. (Directions will be available at the service.)
Memorials may be sent to Friends of Animals in Cloquet.
