Aili Alina Juola

Aili Alina Juola, 95, of Cloquet, Minn., died Friday, May 4, 2012, in Sunnyside Health Care Center, Cloquet. The daughter of Frank and Aliina Johnson, Aili was born in Cloquet in 1917. She was a 1935 graduate of Cloquet High School and graduated from Duluth State Teacher's College. For many years she taught first grade in the Cloquet Public Schools, retiring in 1979. She was a very active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Aili loved people, was an avid reader, and especially enjoyed going places and doing things with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Juola; sisters, Lyla Kalli, Ruth Johnson and Eleanor Peterson; and brothers, Toivo, Charles and Elmer Johnson.

Aili is survived by her brother-on-law, Robert Peterson; nieces, Penny LaMotta and Deborah (Charles) Scott; and nephews, Robert (Carole) Peterson, Timothy Johnson and William Johnson.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 9, from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral service in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cloquet. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cloquet.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Arrangements entrusted to Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet.
