Donald Lane House

Donald L. House, 89, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012. He was born July 18, 1922, in Witt, Ill., to Edward and Louisa Mae House. He served in the United States Marines during World War II and also served in the United States Army. After Don retired from the Army, he worked as a janitor at First National Bank of Cloquet and a school bus driver in Cloquet.

Donald L. House, 89, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012. He was born July 18, 1922, in Witt, Ill., to Edward and Louisa Mae House. He served in the United States Marines during World War II and also served in the United States Army. After Don retired from the Army, he worked as a janitor at First National Bank of Cloquet and a school bus driver in Cloquet.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lucille; his second wife, Doris; his daughter, Donna; brothers Earl, Lester and Wilson; and sisters Iva, Gladys and Violla.

He is survived by two sons, Lester (Sandra) House of Forest, Va., and Rodger (Verna) House of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sisters, Shirley Hemmila of Esko, Minn., and Ella Mae Graboski of Cloquet; son-in-law, Marvin Dreessen; grandchildren Kim Conrad, Mark Dreessen, Jenifer House and Charles House; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 31, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet, followed by a luncheon in the fellowship room. Military honors will be presented by the Cloquet Honor Guard.
