Patricia Marie Kolb

Patricia Marie Kolb, 80, a lifelong resident of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Sunnyside Health Care Center in Cloquet after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 4, 1931, to Arthur and Martha (DeMoe) Johnson. She graduated from Cloquet High School and worked at Northwest Paper Company for several years where she made many lifelong friends. On May 17, 1952, she married Thomas Edward Kolb. Pat will be remembered for her humor, generosity, and her love for her family and friends. She loved to cook, bake, garden, pick blueberries, feed the birds, and battle the squirrels.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; her parents; son, Thomas Patrick; and her sister, Lois Johnson.

She is survived by her sons and daughters, Michael (Monica) Kolb of Britt, Minn., Steven (Beverly) Kolb of Cloquet, Patricia (Robert) Bauman of Foley, Minn., Kathleen Kolb of Eveleth, Minn., and Jon (Kim) Kolb of Cloquet; granddaughters, Lindsay, Caitlin, Chelsea and Sara; grandsons, Eric, Kyle, Taylor and Thomas; brother, Ronald (Lois) Johnson; many nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Poles and Cheryl Winterquist.

The family would like to thank all of the staff at Sunnyside Health Care Center for their wonderful care and support.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at Nelson Funeral Care, 1004 Cloquet Ave., Cloquet, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Luncheon will follow in the fellowship room. Spring inurnment will be in New Calvary Cemetery, Cloquet.
