Sarah Elyse Hough

Sarah Elyse Hough, 23, of Carlton, Minn., passed away due to complications from pneumonia on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, in Superior, Wis. She was born July 25, 1988, in Owatonna, Minn., to Charles and Linda (VanHoever) Hough. Sarah graduated from Cloquet High School. She was a full-time student Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College and was finishing her associate degree this spring. She worked for Senior Friends Home Care as a LPN and CNA.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Pearl and Johnny VanHoever.

Sarah is survived by her mother, Linda Hough of Carlton; father, Chad Hough of Cloquet, Minn.; brother, Chase Hough of Esko, Minn.; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Bonnie Hough of Albany, Ga.; and many aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 1, from 5-7 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. Memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 2, at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 204 Fifth St N., Carlton, with a one-hour prior visitation. A luncheon will follow in the church social hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to cover expenses.

She was a sweet girl, and I can't believe she's gone. Hugs to her family and friends. I'll miss her a lot. :(
