Diana M. (Sheetz) Carlson
Diana Mary (Sheetz) Carlson, 60, of Woodbury, Minn., died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at her home. She was born on March 10, 1951, in Cloquet, Minn., to Donald R. and Doris M. (Eng) Sheetz. Diana was a 1969 graduate of Wrenshall High School and attended the University of Minnesota where she excelled to the dean's list majoring in art and interior design. Diana was a gifted seamstress and created her own jewelry. She loved nature and captured her vision through gardening and photography. She owned and operated her own design businesses in the Twin Cities and Grand Junction, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, James Carlson of Woodbury; sons, Nicholas Maxim (Allison) Carlson and Christian Carlson of St. Paul, Minn.; two grandsons, Bailey and Rowen; sister, Kathryn (Gerald) Nisula of Carlton; brothers, Thomas (Renee) Sheetz of New Richmond, Wis., and James Sheetz of Carlton; uncle, Ronald (Marilyn) Sheetz of Branson, Mo.; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Scott House in Carlton (former family residence).
Memorials may be made to the Second Harvest Food Bank or the Duluth Art Institute.
