Dorothy Elaine Leerssen

Dorothy Elaine Leerssen, 87, of Duluth, Minn., formerly of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, in Solvay Hospice House. She was born on May 22, 1924, in Plum City, Wis., to Jasper and Hildur (Olson) Cedarblade.

Dorothy was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cloquet.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto, in 2002 and her brother, Floyd Cedarblade.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Neil (Betsy) of Newport, R.I., and grandchildren, Jens of San Francisco, Calif., and Anika of Portland, Ore.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 515 Skyline Blvd., Cloquet. Spring interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cloquet.
