Mabel Delores (Davidson) Cardinal

Mabel Delores (Davidson) Cardinal, 90, died peacefully Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, in Pittsburgh, Penn., surrounded by family. Mabel and her husband, Larry, raised their family in Cloquet, Minn., and then retired in Phoenix, Ariz. Two years ago, they moved to Pittsburgh to be closer to their family. The gifts Mabel gave so generously were love and family devotion; also many hours volunteering at her community hospital and church.

Mabel Delores (Davidson) Cardinal, 90, died peacefully Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, in Pittsburgh, Penn., surrounded by family. Mabel and her husband, Larry, raised their family in Cloquet, Minn., and then retired in Phoenix, Ariz. Two years ago, they moved to Pittsburgh to be closer to their family. The gifts Mabel gave so generously were love and family devotion; also many hours volunteering at her community hospital and church.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Lawrence Cardinal; her daughters, Sue Cardinal and Barb (Tom) Cardinal-Busse; her loving grandchildren, Tim Peterson, Ryan (Kara) Super-Peterson, Emily and Dane Busse, and great-grandson, Eddie Super-Peterson; her siblings, Evelyn (Don) Hawkinson, Marvin (Pat), Edward and Duane Davidson; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will take place in Cloquet at a later date.

Family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association Pittsburgh Office, 1100 Liberty Ave., Ste E201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
