Ruth E. Anton, 84, of Thomson, Minn., passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet. She was born on Feb. 6, 1927, in Wrenshall, Minn., to Fred and Jennie (Otten) St. Germain.
Ruth E. Anton, 84, of Thomson, Minn., passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet. She was born on Feb. 6, 1927, in Wrenshall, Minn., to Fred and Jennie (Otten) St. Germain.
Ruth loved crocheting, country music, old time westerns and baking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo, and 13 siblings.
Ruth is survived by her children, Ernie (Melanie), Judy (Don) VanDerWerff and Dave (Lori); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special niece, Kay McDonald; and many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Jan. 3, from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service in Handevidt Funeral Home, Cloquet. Spring interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Carlton, Minn.
