Ethelyn E. Johnson

Ethelyn E. Johnson, 98, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, in Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton, Minn. She was born Sept. 20, 1911, to John and Jennie (Hallberg) Lilyroth. She married William Youngren in 1931, they we later divorced and she then married Clarence Johnson. Ethelyn loved gardening and especially loved her family, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, five brothers and one sister.

Ethelyn is survived by her daughter, Lorayne (Jack) Bergum of Winifred, Mont.; grandchildren, Gary (Barbara), Greg (Cindy), Andy (Janelle) and Bonnie (Erik) Anderson; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 1, from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service in Handevidt Funeral Home, 900 Washington Ave., Cloquet. Interment will be in Sunrise Memorial Park, Hermantown, Minn.
