Linda J. Erickson, age 56, of Wrenshall, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.

Linda J. Erickson, age 56, of Wrenshall, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth. She was born May 29, 1954 in Duluth to Harry and Colleen (Berge) Van Guilder and graduated from Wrenshall High School in 1972. Linda was united in marriage to Teddy Erickson on February 9, 1973 in Cloquet. She enjoyed gardening, farming, raising chickens, watching the spring calves being born, and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Linda was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wrenshall.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Raymond Van Guilder, one niece, Heather Van Guilder; one great-nephew, Nathan Alexander; and two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Erickson and Gwen Van Guilder. She is survived by her husband, Teddy; three sons, Christopher (Jane), Neil (Theresa) and Michael Erickson; grandchildren, Mason, Gabe, Madison, and Colton; brothers and sisters, Dennis (Gayle), David (Donna), Tom (Ruby Johnson), Rodney, Annamae (Virgil) Varnes, Wesley (Shirley), Lucy Van Guilder, Donnie (Gail), Charles, and Tammy (Ray Woodall) Omundson; godson, Tobey Van Guilder; goddaughter, Holly Rilea; sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn Wills, Gwen Germaine, Merlyn (Mark) Engelhardt, and Madelyn (Bill) Lewis; 11 nephews, 10 nieces, 6 great-nephews and one expected in Sept., 10 great-nieces; and her special pets, Willie the cat, and Riley the dog.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, 2010 at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. The visitation will resume on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010 from noon until the 1 p.m. memorial service also at Nelson Funeral Care. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at the Silver Brook Town Hall in Wrenshall.
