Judy Kay Wendland, 50, of Cloquet, Minn., died of heart failure on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, in St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, Minn. She was born March 31, 1960, in Duluth. She grew up in Esko, Minn., and graduated from Esko High School in 1978. She attended Fond du Lac Community College in Cloquet. Judy worked as a bookkeeper for several area businesses and most recently worked for Kim Cool. She was a member of Apostolic Lutheran Church in Esko.
Judy was preceded in death by two cousins, Randy Munter and Kathi "Sam" Munter.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Wendland Sippo of Cloquet; her parents, Gary and Carol Wendland of Esko; brother, Cory (Heidi) Wendland of Esko; niece and nephew, Emily and Andrew Wendland; uncles, Craig (Dolly) Wendland of Cottage Grove, Minn., Charles (Diane) Wendland of Cypress, Calif., and Ron (Rita) Wendland of Hawaiian Gardens, Calif.; and special uncle and aunt, Jack and Ruby Munter.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 9, from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service in Apostolic Lutheran Church in Esko. Burial will be in Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery.
