Joseph R. Antus, 53, of Duluth, Minn., died Friday, March 5, 2010, in Duluth.
Joseph R. Antus, 53, of Duluth, Minn., died Friday, March 5, 2010, in Duluth. He was born Sept. 1, 1956, in Cloquet, Minn., to Stephen and Margaret Antus. He graduated from Cloquet High School and attended college in Chicago and the University of Minnesota Duluth and Duluth Business College. He worked for the Board of Trade in Chicago, Burlington Northern Railroad, and Best Western. Joseph was an Eagle Scout. He loved to hunt, fish and attend all family events.
Joseph is survived by his parents, Stephen and Margaret Antus of Thousand Palms, Calif.; siblings, Margaret Caffey of California, Stephen Antus Jr. of Minnesota, Caroline Peart of Arizona, Christopher (Lorri) Antus of Minnesota, Thomas Antus of Minnesota, Lawrence (Kathy) Antus of Pennsylvania, Matthew Antus of Minnesota, John (Kathy) Antus of Minnesota, Michael (Nancy) Antus of California, James Antus of California, Mary Buch (Arthur) of California, and Robert Antus (Nicole) of Minnesota; 12 nephews, nine nieces, three great-nephews, and four great-nieces. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at noon Tuesday March 9, followed by a Memorial Mass at 1 p.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Cloquet. A meal and time of fellowship will follow in the church social hall.
