Dale L. Fish, 84, of Saginaw, Minn., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, in the Solvay Hospice Home.
Dale L. Fish, 84, of Saginaw, Minn., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, in the Solvay Hospice Home. He was born March 5, 1925, in Cloquet, Minn., to Daniel and Louise (Dunnum) Fish. Dale was a veteran of World War II and retired from the Minnesota Air National Guard. He was a long standing member and past master of the Duluth Masonic Temple Blue Lodge and was a member of the Duluth Shriners. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed reading, building model airplanes and collecting hugs wherever he went. Dale loved and cherished spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine; parents; brothers, Daniel and Richard; and sisters, Joyce, Jettie and Louise.
Dale is survived his daughter, Paula (Bob) Saxin of Duluth, Minn.; his son, Michael (Patty) Fish of Saginaw; grandchildren, Terry (Christen Weir) Luukkonen, Shana (Tom) Vesel, Mike (Missy) Luukkonen, Troy (Lori Berg) Stokes, Josh (Jill) Fish, Sam (Miranda Jackson) Fish, Jennifer (Darwin) Fossell and Jeffrey (Amber) Jola; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Barbara Fish; nieces, nephews and many other loving family members and friends.
Family will receive friends Saturday, Feb. 6, from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service in Handevidt Funeral Home, 900 Washington Ave., Cloquet. Private family interment will be held.
