Scott M. Stewart, 38, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, at the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, Minn.

Scott M. Stewart, 38, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, at the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, Minn. He was born April 12, 1971, in Thief River Falls, Minn. Scott graduated from Esko High School in 1989 and also from Thief River Falls Aviation Vocational School. He was united in marriage to Tera Kulas in Duluth on April 25, 1998. Scott loved NHRA drag racing and NASCAR racing. He played drums in high school and his love for music led his daughter Sarah to love music also. Scott especially loved reading and collecting books.

Scott was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Roland "Cy" Glass.

He is survived by his wife, Tera; daughter, Sarah; his parents, Thomas and Jeanie Lummis of Esko; his maternal grandmother, Helen Glass of Thief River Falls; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and very close friends that he considered family. Scott will be missed by his numerous friends and family.

Visitation will be held from 5-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Nelson Funeral Care, 1004 Cloquet Avenue in Cloquet. The visitation will resume Thursday, Dec. 31, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Esko. A time of fellowship and luncheon will follow in the church family center.

Tera, Sarah and Family, I'm so sorry. I hope you find comfort in knowing that although I haven't seen Scott since he was a teen, I will always remember him. He was blessed to be so loved. With deepest sympathy, Tina Treviranus Cox (Santa Maria, CA)
