Peggy Sharon DeFoe, 65, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, in Sunnyside Health Care Center, Cloquet.
Peggy Sharon DeFoe, 65, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, in Sunnyside Health Care Center, Cloquet. She was born Feb. 5, 1943, in Superior, Wis., to Theodore and Ailie (Nyman) Isaacson.
Peggy was an avid bingo player and enjoyed crossword puzzles and Scrabble and playing video games with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Theodore, Thomas and Douglas; and five sisters, Judy Diver, Dolly Aho, Mavis Hoile, Betty Levine and Shirley Davis.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Harvey; children, Wanda (Chuck) Smith, Connie (Don) Wiesen, and Steve and Annie (Paul) Thornton, all of Cloquet; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings Ruby (Gene) Reynolds and Bonnie (George) Houle of Cloquet, Gloria (Glen) Olson of Sturgeon Lake and John (LuAnn) Isaacson of Thomson; and also many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 18, from 5-8 p.m. in Handevidt Funeral Home, 900 Washington Ave., Cloquet, and will continue Saturday, Dec. 19, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service, also in the funeral home. Interment will be in Old Holy Family Cemetery, Cloquet.
