Eunice Marie Caspersen Boget, 91, of Duluth, Minn., died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, in the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth.

Eunice Marie Caspersen Boget, 91, of Duluth, Minn., died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, in the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth. She was born Dec. 16, 1917, in Enderlin, N.D., to Charles “Simon” and Gladys Snow. Eunice grew up in Big Fork, Minn., before her family moved to Duluth. She graduated from Duluth Central High School. In 1935 she married James Caspersen and they made their home in Duluth. During the 1950s Eunice worked at the downtown Sears store in the ladies “ready to wear” department. While in Duluth she was a member of the First United Methodist Church and its couples club. In 1961 they moved to Wausau, Wis., where Eunice worked as a clerk at Nelson Drug. She was famous for her hot fudge malts. In Wausau she was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and active in its couples club. Jim and Eunice built five houses, working together side by side. They enjoyed traveling throughout the continental U.S. and Mexico. After her husband’s death in 1983, Eunice married Melford Kraft. They enjoyed wintering in Texas. He also preceded her in death and in 1995, Eunice married Richard Boget. They lived in Wisconsin and Tennessee before returning to Duluth.

Eunice loved to sew, especially Christmas pajamas for the grandchildren, and was active in her grandchildren’s lives. Her family was her life. She also enjoyed dancing, bowling, golfing and reading. She had a very special fondness and love for dogs and always had a dog.

In addition to her two husbands, Eunice was preceded in death by two daughters, Leanne Buechler Baker and Jean Caspersen; a brother, Lloyd Snow; and grandson Dylan Buechler.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; sons, James (Phyllis Lehti) Caspersen of Cloquet and Terry Caspersen of Sturtevant, Wis.; five grandchildren, James J. (Cathy) Caspersen, Kathryn (Doug) Lindahl, Karin (Kevin) Anderson, Becky (Mark) Starkey, and Jessica (Jason) Barile; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will held Friday, Dec. 11, from noon until the 1 p.m. memorial service in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet. Graveside services will take place Saturday, Dec. 12, in the Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau, Wis.
