Evelyn Ida Mulwee, 89, of Lewiston, Minn., died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at the Lewiston Villa.
Evelyn Ida Mulwee, 89, of Lewiston, Minn., died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at the Lewiston Villa. Evelyn was born Feb. 9, 1921, in Cloquet, Minn., to Henry and Ida (Carlson) Aho. She married George Mulwee and later divorced. During World War II Evelyn worked at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. She then returned to St. Paul and worked for the Internal Revenue Service until retirement. In her retirement Evelyn enjoyed traveling the world. She later moved to Lewiston to be near family.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her son, George; grandson Michael; two brothers; one sister; and her parents.
Survivors include two grandchildren, George (Jill) Mulwee and Michelle Mulwee, and a great-granddaughter, Audrey Mulwee, all of Inver Grove Heights, Minn.; and several cousins including Becky (Dean) Henry of Utica and their family. She is also survived by a nephew, Neil Norquist of Johnstown, Ohio.
Friends were welcomed Monday, Dec. 7, from 1 p.m. until the 1:30 p.m. funeral service at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in Lewiston, with Steve Myer of the United Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cloquet at a later date.
