Donald D. Nendick, 78, of Cloquet, Minn., died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton, Minn.

Donald D. Nendick, 78, of Cloquet, Minn., died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton, Minn. He was born Feb. 10, 1931, in Carlton to Thomas and Ruth (Atkinson) Nendick. He married Marilyn Nendick September 1953 in Cloquet. He worked for USG Corporation as a traffic manager for 47 years until his retirement in 1996. Donald was a member of the Traffic Club and of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where he was a former board trustee. He was a Cub Scout Leader in Scanlon and coached Little League and basketball for elementary in Scanlon and Cloquet. He was an avid basketball fan and supporter. Donald kept the scorebooks for the Cloquet boys and girls basketball teams for over 25 years.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kim Nendick; two brothers, Raymond and William Nendick; and sister, Loretta Hansen.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; son, Kevin (Leigh Jordahl) Nendick of Cloquet; granddaughters, Tiffany (Peter) Carlson of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Courtney Nendick of Cloquet; great-granddaughter, Addyson Bates of Cloquet; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 21, from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cloquet. Inurnment service will be at Atkinson Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
