A wiffleball seems to float in midair during a boys-versus-girls game at this year’s July 4th festivities in Cloquet’s Veterans Park, an event that perfectly illustrates the idea of a multiple-use park. Several years ago, a group made plans to add flowers, trees, shrubbery and benches to Veterans Park, but a number of task force members argue that the community would be better served by leaving the park more open for events.
