Esko junior Ben Hanson and Moose Lake-Willow River junior Ben Moonen ran the majority of the 1,600-meter run neck-and-neck last Thursday (above levt) in a Polar League meet in Barnum. Moonen bested Hanson by 3 seconds – and the boys showed respect and offered congratulations to each other after the race. Jamie Lund/Pine Journal
