Oldenburg house is piece of Carlton history
Although Leslie and Helen Swanson have owned the brick home at 604 Chestnut Street in Carlton since 1968, it’s probably fair to say they’ve learned more in the past year about its history than during all the rest of the years combined. After more than a year of visits from architects and historians, the Swansons’ home, known as the Henry C. Oldenburg home, was officially added into the National Register of Historic Places on Dec. 27, 2006.By: Lisa Baumann, The Pine Journal
