Joseph “Elmer” Baresh Jr.

Joseph “Elmer” Baresh Jr., 81, of Moose Lake died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, in St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth. Joseph was born March 5, 1925, to Joseph and Anna (Orosz) Baresh in Mahtowa Township. He attended and graduated from the Barnum High School and later entered the Marines where he served until his discharge in 1946. Joe was a meat cutter at the Esko Co-op until 1966 when he began working for Potlatch as a supercalendar operator until his retirement in 1987. Joe may be remembered most for his love of gardening and concern for his neighbors.
