Ruth Simula Carlson, long time resident of Duluth, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006. She was born March 19, 1919, in Cloquet, to Finnish immigrants, Gust and Hilda (Rantoniemi) Simula and was baptized Rauha Kaarina, which means peace.
