Bernice 'Bunny' BakerBernice A. “Bunny” Baker, 87, of Cloquet, Minn., died Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, in Solvay Hospice House, Duluth, Minn. She was born in Wrenshall, Minn., the daughter of Bill and Lillian Gault. She married Eugene Baker in Duluth on Sept. 23, 1944. Bernice had been employed as a cook and served as the union steward at Carlton Nursing Home. She was extremely active in her community where she served on the board at Cloquet Senior Center, was a member of the Carlton VFW Ladies Auxiliary, was an advocate for Nopeming Nursing Home, was a member and served as secretary of Pi-Nur-Ho Volunteers and was a respite care volunteer. Bernice was a long-time and former member of Augustana Lutheran Church and was currently a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Cloquet; she was a member of the Evangelism team that delivered pies to visitors of the church and the Rebecca Circle. She enjoyed bowling, painting and playing cribbage. For a number of years, Bernice sponsored a child, Frankz Perdomo, from Honduras through Child Development Center.
