John 'Jack' WilzbacherJohn "Jack" Wilzbacher, 92, a lifelong resident of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Essentia Health in Duluth, Minn. He was born July 25, 1920, in Duluth to Mabel (Saxton) and Thomas Wilzbacher. John proudly served in the US. Army during World War II in the Battle of the Bulge with the 30th Infantry Division. Among Jack's many medals received, he was most proud of being a Bronze Star recipient. He was united in marriage to Betty Johnson on March 30, 1946, and they made their home in Cloquet. John and Betty established and operated the Cloquet Greenhouse for approximately 35 years. He was especially proud of being the first FTD florist in the area. He was a big game hunter and enjoyed life at his cabin on Pequaywan Lake. John was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and Hebert-Kennedy VFW Post 3979 in Cloquet.
