Life gets back to normal one step at a time in Thomson

For many people, the flash floods that washed over the Northland in June only meant a couple days of difficulty getting to work or a damp basement. For others, like Mick and Carole Balow – who were evacuated from their Thomson home the morning of June 20 – it was a boat back home and a couple weeks without running water once they got there.
