Residents have until Aug. 14 to file for election

Filings for numerous local school board, city and township races opened July 31 and are set to close at 5 p.m. Aug. 14. A list of positions up for re-election is also contained in this story (only positions with an open filing period, some races had earlier filing periods and are not listed in this story).
