GAMC is nothing more than a distractionary tactic in this public viewers eye..it will be saved and the Governor will get what he wants by useing it as a bargaining chip. My point of contention is that they always throw something out there to distract us from the real issues like..where is all that stimulus money funneled into? one job market of course is getting most of it. one hand washes the other!

The Republicans certainly are causing problems with important programs such as GAMC. Ironically, GAMC is used by many homeless vets so the Republican callousness is especially cynical and cruel. At the same time, the Democrats are just throwing way too much money down the tube. Funding for programs such as the Perpich Center for Arts Education, a ritzy ditzy program often for well off kids from posh suburbs, is a problem. Likewise, there are way too many managers in state government. Look at the Department of Health's organizational chart, for example, and you will see tons of basically unnecessary "assistant to" and "assistant director" positions. The refusal of Dems to cut spending for pork barrel projects undermines their credibility and may mean a loss of seats at the time of the next election. The Democrats need to get busy cleaning up waste.
