CITY OF CARLTON, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VACATION OF A STREET
The City Council of the City of Carlton will be holding a Public Hearing at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, November 12th, 2013 in the Council Chambers of the Carlton Civic Center located at 310 Chestnut Ave; to consider a petition received by David and Sheila Hopp and Darren Klassen requesting the vacation of the following described platted street in the City of Carlton:
Maple Avenue: That part of the street now known as Maple Avenue (formerly known as Maple Street) within the plat of BRADLEY'S ADDITION TO N.P. JUNCTION (now City of Carlton) lying southerly of Block 4, said BRADLEY'S ADDITION TO N.P. JUNCTION (now City of Carlton), and lying north of Block 15 of the original plat of N.P. JUNCTION (now City of Carlton), located between the westerly right-of-way line of 2nd Street and the west line of Block 15 extended (being the easterly right-of-way line of North 1st Street), said original plat of N.P. JUNCTION (now City of Carlton), according to the plats thereof on file and of record in the office of the County Recorder, in and for Carlton County, Minnesota. A map is available at City Hall.
All interested parties are encouraged to attend the Hearing, and have the right to make known any feelings they may have regarding the proposed street vacation. Both oral and written statements will be considered. Written statements may be sent to the City Clerk/ Treasurer, P.O. Box 336, Carlton, MN 55718.
