The Tri-Community Food Shelf is looking for garden produce this month and next. Please bring any produce you have to share to the Food Shelf in the Old Trolley Building in Cromwell on Fridays from 3-5 p.m. Do not drop off at other times, as the food will spoil in the sun. They are also selling raffle tickets for prizes donated by several area folks and businesses. The prizes include a half pig cut and wrapped by Jeremy Line, a $50 gift basket from Farmer’s Co-op of Wright, $50 cash from Dr. Shawn Bode from the Cromwell Medical Clinic, $50 cash from Tyson Warner Construction, and $50 cash from McGregor Plumbing.
Have you noticed that the Area Clothing Depot has a new entry platform and roof over the main door? Well, work has been done to improve the entry so it is safer for folks who come and go. Donations have also been steady and that really helps to keep the depot functioning. A big “thank you” to all who donate or purchase items from the Depot.
Don’t forget to sign your kids up for our area schools if you are new to the area.
